Hello, I’m Onkel! I came here to Millinghof in June 2004 - a horse dealer from Leogang brought me here.
At first I was not amused when the riding instructor rode me. Sometimes I arched my back and I didn’t run there where she wanted to go to.
Last but not least I didn’t have to work the year before at the horse dealer. The whole day I stood on the meadow, I slept all the time and I could do what I wanted to do.
Then I quickly noticed that I get here also a good care and treatment. I also met many new friends… and I feel very fine (I also put on my weight). I’m very happy here!
Every child can ride me – my favourite hobby is jumping and riding out. See you in the next riding lesson…

I’m the daughter of July. For Kids and adults who begin riding I'm a very good horse. I walk on the lunge, I like jumping and during the riding lessons I'm always very well-behaved.
My favourite hobby is riding out because I can put my foot down there and romp around. I’m a bit afraid of tractors and trucks – these big things simply look so terrifying - *brrrrr*. In summer I always get an eczema which is horribly itching. Every day I need a special cream for rubbing in. I’m a modern breeded Haflinger.
That means that I’m more sportive than the Haflinger horses in former times when they were used for the hard work and not so much for riding out like me.
On the meadow I’m the "boss" of all mares. And July – my mother – is my one and only! Perhaps, we see us during the riding lesson or you visit me! Have a lot of fun!

I’m here in the stable the oldest one and I’ve been living here with family Duerlinger for a long, long time.
Together with my foal Merlin I had to retire because I’m suffering from asthma and my legs are also not the very best anymore. I always did “my job” with the greatest pleasure. I was well-behaved at any time and also very patient with beginners.
I like children very much and it is always a great fun for me when they pick me up for cleaning and I can cuddle them. A welcome change in my retirement life is also when I walk slowly together with the Kids. Perhaps you visit me. I look forward to seeing you. See you later! Bye, bye!

I came here to Millinghof on 24th April 2005. At first I didn’t feel good, I was very thin and I didn't want to do anything. I was directly imported from Ireland, then I was here in Austria at the most different horse dealers where I caught some lice and mites.
Then I was bought by an Upper Austrian inter-breeder. Two months later family Duerlinger came and bought me.
At first they deloused me and nursed by back to health… then I had to do my work! At first I fought against the saddle and the bridle – they were strange for me.
But now everything is okay and I got very well-behaved. I like children very much and my favourite hobby is riding out with them! But I don’t like cows! See you soon! Have a nice day!

Hello, my name is Schakira. I went to Millinghof on 24th September 2005 – I was still young and I had to learn very much.
At first I was on the lunge but that was soon too boring for me because I could move there only in circles. Afterwards I learned to run on the riding course. Don’t think that I can’t do anything but in former times I was only in open terrain. You know it is much more difficult to be ridden on the riding course especially the corners!
And then they still told me that I should become a good breed mare. Well, I’m a real “beauty” – and I’m very proud of my curls! What do you think about it? See you soon, perhaps on the next riding. Have a nice day!
